January, 2026 – On January 24 at Hockey Day Minnesota 2026 in Hastings, Experience Maple Grove, along with Mayor Mark Steffenson, city officials, parks department personnel and representatives from the Maple Grove hockey community, were officially awarded Hockey Day Minnesota 2028 by the Minnesota Wild. This event brings a great deal of community pride, economic impact and a lasting legacy for Maple Grove. Plans are underway to host Hockey Day Minnesota 2028 at Central Park.
