The event will be held at Central Park where the great lawn will transform into a hockey stadium complete with refrigerated ice, bleachers for ~4,500, lights, concessions, hospitality tents and more. The multiple day event will culminate on Saturday, officially designated as Hockey Day Minnesota, with televised high school hockey games featuring Maple Grove High School boys and girls teams. A detailed schedule of events will be announced at a later date. What is Hockey Day Minnesota?
Hockey Day Minnesota is property of the Minnesota Wild and an annual celebration of hockey. Maple Grove's Local Organizing Committee will be responsible for all fundraising, logistics and event operations. Games and onsite activities take place over multiple days leading up to Hockey Day e.g. organized games on the Hockey Day rink, recreational skating trails and mini 3 v3 rinks in adjacent spaces, Hockey Village with food and merchandise, etc. In Maple Grove, Central Park will transform into a hockey stadium complete with refrigerated ice, bleachers for ~4,500, lights, concessions, hospitality tents and more. The Local Organizing Committee is responsible for all aspects of planning and event execution. Committees will include Finance & Sponsorship, Volunteers/& Ticketing, Rink & Grounds, Media/Marketing and Hospitality & Merch.

Will there be activities for families and youth?
Yes! Hockey Day Minnesota is a family-friendly event with activities for all ages. More details about specific activities and programming will be announced closer to the event date.
Will there be ample parking near Central Park?
Yes! There are nearly 1,000 parking spaces located within two blocks of Central Park including the lots surrounding LifeTime Fitness, the city/county library parking ramp and on street parking. Shuttles will run from additional parking locations anticipated to include the Maple Grove Community Center, Government Center and the Maple Grove Transit Station.
