Lookouts 34th Annual Golf Tournament Benefiting Savanna Marie Huber.
Savannas Story-
Savanna Marie Huber was born March 19, 2024 at 25 weeks and 6 days and weighed 1lb 13oz. She was born two days before her brother Jayden’s first birthday!
Being such an early baby she developed Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) which has already resulted in a hospital transfer from Maple Grove to the U of M for treatment. She had injections in both of her eyes and later down the road will need laser surgery. We are unsure of what kind of complications she will face due to ROP. She may also need hernia surgery when she gets a little bigger.
Her journey in the NICU has been long she is reaching 90+ days so far and medical expenses are inevitable. She is learning to regulate her body temperature, breathe without the help of CPAP and eventually the oxygen cannula, and be able to eat from a bottle instead of a feeding tube. She is determined and a fast learner.
Being such an early baby we don’t know what kind of medical treatments/complications she will be facing in years to come.
We would like to thank everyone for the love and support for Savanna. -The Hubers
